Sold my Winchester

[Today’s run: rest day]

I sold my gun to a
   man from Alabama;
Which reminds me of a
   song by Lynyrd Skynyrd

about a man with pistols.
   Mine was a Winchester
I'd bought for elk hunting
   in the Rocky Mountains.

I don't think there is an
   elk in Mississippi;
Which is just as well since
   I don't have a license.

(the song I refer to  is “Mississippi Kid” on the album Lynyrd Skynyrd)
