[Today’s run: Downtown Y to Southern Family Market 7 miles]
I took this picture on my run this morning:
According to this website the engine was built in 1900 and retired in 1952 and was given to the City of Columbus and put in this spot in 1972. If my calculator isn’t faulty that means it has been retired for 60 years (in 2012) and parked in that spot for 40 (in 2012).
And that is a very interesting website. If you like railroad history I think you should check it out.
