You know me and my online shopping.
About 18 months ago I bid on some stuff online… and won it. So we drove the old pickup to the Georgia coast and walked on the beach for a few minutes on Jekyl Island. Next day we picked up the stuff and drove home. I eventually unloaded it on other hams and everything found a good home.
Before the end of the day today I’ll know if I’m taking a vacation to West Virginia. Surely not. Same auction site, similar piece of equipment. 99% of the time someone comes along in the last few minutes and blows my low-ball bid out of the water.
But it really wouldn’t be a bad drive this time of year.
