While I was doing ham radio stuff my wife would sometimes buy old broadcast band radios, AM, sometimes AM/FM, from antique shops and such.
Most of them have been languishing in boxes since our most recent move.
Sunday we were at an estate sale where she was picking up some fancy tea cups (the current rage) and there was a lady in the checkout line ahead of us who had a 1960-ish tube radio to purchase.
I struck up a conversation and told her that we had some radios she could have if she were interested.
Later she and her family came to the house and they looked over what we had. They ended up taking most of it. We still have one or two.
