Remote

[Today’s run 3.5 miles]

One of the things I still have to figure out is how to remotely monitor and control this radio station.

At a minimum I am required to be able to turn it off within three hours if anything goes wacko.  I think I have an idea about that one.  I can poke a hole in the internet firewall and get into the playback computer.  I have a way to turn off the transmitter from there.

The big-shot stations have equipment ($$$) to monitor their frequency, modulation and power output.  That type of thing can be set up to trigger an email or even turn off the transmitter.

I’m contemplating trying to use a beaglebone computer to do that.  Beaglebone was what I used in the solar powered weather station project.  I have to figure out how to measure the stuff I want to monitor.
