Philadelphia Gun Show

[today’s run: 3.4 miles; yesterday: 4 miles]

After church on Sunday we drove down to Philadelphia, MS to a gun show.

Every year we have noticed these signs go up alongside the highway which advertise the gun show in Philadelphia.  They aren’t billboards, more like homemade political signs.  So, last year we decided we wanted to check it out some day.  When the signs started showing up a couple of weeks ago we decided to try to get there this time.

So, after church we had lunch then headed out. It turned out to be a bit of a drive to get there.  We went down to Macon then west to Louisville and then south to Philadelphia.  It would have been faster to go through Starkville I suspect.  But we had a nice drive and got there an hour before the big final doorprize drawing (which we did not win).

We got to see what a gun show is like and we enjoyed talking to the people and seeing the stuff.  This one booth, the lady there was trying to sell tasers and she would fire that thing off every few minutes.  I decided I did _not_ want to go over near that booth.

We came back through Scooba and Macon.  It was a nice day and a nice drive.

They had a lot of AR-15 type rifles but I did not see any AK-47s.  (just in case you were wondering!)
