[Today’s run: Schaffer’s Chapel – 5 miles]
We ran over the old Motley Slough bridge today. Here’s a picture of Motley Slough.
I believe there used to be a little area known as Motley north of here. The school that was Motley Middle School is now West Lowndes Middle School (I think). I’m not sure if there was a Motley village or just Motley Road. Motley Slough starts over by the 4-County Electric Power Association office on the frontage road of US-82. It runs into Gilmore Creek and then into the Tombigbee River.
