[Today’s run: nada]
I have had a head-cold situation for about the last 4 days. I took a sick day on Friday, then we had the hamfest on Saturday and on Sunday I just laid around and moaned (not really).
Today I am taking another sick day. If I get any calls I will try to help, but not going to work on any of the long term projects today.
Yesterday I pretty much finished figuring out the Sony video cameras that I bought at the hamfest. I can drive the zoom from linux command-line using libVISCA tools. And I figured out all of the connector pins. That was a fun excursion. Since it is analog video I don’t have any way to suck that into the computer (for a web-cam for instance), I would have to get a video grabber board for my PC. And I don’t think I’m going to do that.
I did get a little bit of exercise today. One of the horses in the field nearby got out. He was out on Sunday and we called the number for the owner to get him under control. But he was still out this morning. I was able to put a rope on him and lead him slowly around to the other side where the gate is, about 3/4 of a mile away. I don’t see where he got out of the field, the fence looks OK and I don’t think he is lively enough to jump it even in the low spots.
