Fit Bit, some more

[today’s run:  nothing… walk 1 mile]

For Christmas my daughter bought both of us something called a FitBit.  It is a little pedometer thing that comes with a USB bump thing.  They connect to each other via bluetooth, like a cell phone and headset.  The pedometer you carry around and it shows how many steps you take and it shows the time of day and the number of calories you have burned.

Then there is a website.  When your pedometer talks to the computer, it updates the website with your activities.  And the website has a food log, and a place to enter weight and blood pressure and blood glucose and who knows what else.  Anyway, with all of this info they know if you are eating too much or exercising enough.

I can do the pedometer part.  I’m not very good about the food logging part.  But this year I need to do some serious trimming, so this is the way to go.

The little pedometer has a face on it that changes if you are active (a smile) or sedentary (a frown).  Kind of like when the kids had those little giga-pet things.  Except with this it is happy when I exercise and don’t eat too much.  So maybe I’m the pet.
