[Today’s run: Watson Road – 3.5 miles]
We’ve had a bit of interesting weather in the last few days. Last week we were hot. Then on Thursday of this week we had 3 inches of snow. Snow in Mississippi pretty much brings things to a halt. When I lived in Colorado I thought this was a sure sign of the laziness of southerners. But now I know that the real problem is that there is no sanding or snow removal. So a bit of ice or snow turns the roads slip-sliding like you normally wouldn’t see even in Colorado.
I guess that goes-to-show that snow removal and sanding/salting really does help. Without it you can’t get very far.
We got our January landline phone bill from AT&T today. It went up $2.20. that was a $2.00 increase in the regular phone service rate and an extra $0.20 in taxes. It came out to be a 3.7% increase. The official inflation rate for 2012 was 2.07%. So I guess I must be getting about 1.63% better service than I was last year and that is why I am paying more?
Picture is of one of the cats, sleeping. I like it when cats sleep as long as they don’t wake me up when I want to sleep.
