Lovely, lovely day today.
After a day of being a bit blue due to a missed race, today has been much brighter.
Took the baby chickens outdoors for the day. The baby chickens and the grown up chickens still do not get along very well…they must be watched carefully. The weather was perfect so we did not mind spending some time outdoors watching chickens. Silly way to pass the time but it was nice just the same.
The weather is supposed to change dramatically during the night. Thunderstorms and colder temps. It is a shame really after such a nice day as today.
Still plugging away at the radio station fund raiser. We are enthusiastic about our project! Hopefully many other people will be as well.
The bees have been very, very busy. We have many small flowers in bloom and the bees have been taking full advantage of that. They have even turned up their little bee noses at the food we have made available for them in the apiary.
Paxton has been, well, Paxton. He is a dogs dog. No doubt about that! He eats a lot. Sleeps a lot and barks a substantial amount of the time we let him outdoors.
Our son came by for a visit today and put Paxton in his truck bed. Paxton thought he was going to go “Bye-bye.” Paxton thought wrong. Poor Paxton. He was very disappointed.
Kali and Castro. Those are the two cats. You will notice that I did not say my cats. Kali belongs to my daughter and Castro, my son. Both of the children moved cross country and said, “Can you take care of my cat for me?” How can you say no? I mean, we live in the country! It is not like we do not have the room or anything. So, we are permanently babysitting two cats.
They are sweet cats. Good hunters. We do not get mice in the house even though we live in the country. They each like to bring us “presents.” Kali is our rodent specialist and Castro likes birds. I do not feel too bad about the mice Kali brings but the birds, I always feel sad about those.
Then there is MFH (My Favorite Husband). He is the best. He tolerates all of these animals and my running. He listened to my sad, sad song yesterday when I was bemoaning my missed race. He is an encourager. He is my best friend. He is my go-to guy because he gives great advice.
MFH is the brains behind our radio station. He has done all the research, filled out forms, etc. I do the social media stuff because, well, I like to talk! 🙂 I am still trying to make myself like Twitter, but I think that is going to be an epic fail. I have tried. Really, I have! Its appeal just escapes me.
What haven’t we covered today? Goodness, it is another one of those, “Let us talk about absolutely everything!” blogs. I am rambling and I know it. I will stop this right now. Period.
