Goodbye

[Today’s run: 3.2 miles]

Two men came before church on Sunday morning and hauled away the MG Midget.

One exciting thing: I gave him the keys I had bought for it using the official build key code. I had never been able to get those keys to work. He did. So already he had the steering lock problem solved! He hooked up his trailer winch and it rolled right up the ramp.

He said he was planning to put a motorcycle engine in it. I don’t know how that would work, but I’m glad he’s happy. I’m happy. So, capitalism works and we both have found maximum economic utility.

It turned out that I had improved the situation a little bit since I acquired the car: 1) it now has keys and 2) it has an active registration which could lead to a resurrected title. If he actually does get it rebuilt, both of those things could be extremely handy.

This evening I went over to Starkville and spent the money I got from the car on a Intel Nuc, which is a headless Intel i5 version 8 PC. I’m wanting to see if I can get that configured so I can use it to load and trim audio files for the radio station. I was using an ancient laptop and that is getting completely cantankerous and difficult.
