My wife is an internet shopper, as I am. We both keep our eye out for bargains. And she knows that I don’t like the crop of modern kitchen toasters with their microprocessor control systems and electromagnetic actuators.
She recently saw on an online swap a pristine old ToastMaster toaster and the other day we got together with the seller and took possession. This thing looks like it has never been used. It is completely mechanical, no brains in it. And it toasts evenly.
It won’t do bagels. It is the perfect toaster. (model# 1B14)
