[Today’s run: rest day]
I don’t watch much television. But you don’t have to have a TV to hear about the recent resurgence of talent shows.
But talent shows have come and gone over the years. When I was a kid there was the Bill Riley talent show (local to Iowa). And I’m thinking there were some national-shows.
I remember, it must have been the late 1960’s, watching some kind of talent show on Saturday afternoons.
Every once in awhile there will be a “diamond in the rough” that shows up. I don’t know how many of these people really are able to make a living with their talent. But it is exciting. Maybe I live near someone or know someone who is just as good as the big stars.
