[Today’s run: to new highway bridge – 4 miles]

Today we ran over to the new divided highway and ran up to the bridge on the side that is still not being used.  The newspaper said that they were to open it yesterday, but they didn’t.  Today it is raining, so I kind of doubt they will have the line-paint-changers and sign-cover-removers out there to switch everyone over.

Coming out from our little dead-end road we turned left on Evans Road and I stopped and took a picture.  The land on the north side of Evans is posted by this hunting club.  Someone was out there with a tractor yesterday doing some preparation for spring planting.  As far as I know, they only plant so as to feed the critters that they want to hunt.  Maybe they harvest, but I’ve never seen them do it.

So anyway, they have these signs posted along Evans road to let you know what’s what.

FYI, There is no lake.  I have to wonder where they came up with that name.

Oh, also, the county has recently been down these roads doing their spring fence-line vertical mowing.  That is why the fence row cedar trees are kind of chewed up on the road side.
