[Today’s run: abt 12 miles, with the Boardtown Runners]
After running club I went into Columbus to an auction. The auction company had had a listing in the newspaper, and I thought I would check it out.
I looked around and found a couple things of interest. I probably should have bought two big rolls of chicken wire, but I passed on that. Also, I was thinking about a big box of canning jars but they went in with a bunch of other stuff that I didn’t want.
I ended up buying three florescent light fixtures and a large bench vise.
Our light fixture in the kitchen has been falling apart. So when I got home I replace that with one of the ones I bought.
I have had to do some metal bending in the past few months and that vice looked pretty good. I think it is heavy enough to probably be worth most of what I paid for it in just scrap value.
Later in the afternoon we started in on painting the hall bathroom. We watched an episode of Emergency and now we are watching Dragnet. The paint is drying in the bathroom and I think we will have to give parts of it a second coat.
