Got a little bit of a late start on this Sunday morning. We slept great last night and ended up sleeping a little bit later than usual.
MFH likes to make pancakes for breakfast on Sunday mornings~he has almost every Sunday morning since we’ve been married. When the kids were little, they loved Sunday mornings because that meant pancakes. The dogs always loved Sunday mornings, too, because they got all the leftover pancakes. It was an all around win.
Seeing as we were running behind this morning, the pancakes were a little later than usual, too. No big deal. It did mean that I started my, “Hurry and get some miles in before we go to church” run, late.
My schedule called for 6 miles this morning. I had time for a 5K (3.1 miles). Like I said, no big deal. I got a few miles in and that’s what counts.
When I ran, though, it wasn’t windy or anything. It was chilly but not terrible. All in all, it was great running weather.
Once church let out, though, a breeze had picked up! It was “brisk.”
MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I were walking to the car (We park on a side street. There isn’t a parking lot for our church seeing as it is on Main Street.) when the wind blew kind of hard.
Without blinking an eye, I handed out my words of wisdom for the day. I mean, this was a goodie. You might want to tuck this little nugget away for future use:
“This breeze is breezy!!!”
MFH gave me the funniest look and deadpan replied, “Yes, I suppose it is.”
DUH.
