Today’s Run: 10.00 miles
I have a friend on my MFP (My Fitness Pal) FL (Friends List) who is an amazing runner. It seems that no matter how far the distance or whatever the challenge he sets before him for the day, he is able to say, “Easy Run” or “Easy Effort”.
I do not know about you, but dragging my pudgy carcass around the block is no “easy effort”~it is hard work. Until this morning.
This morning’s run was easy! At the beginning, I thought I was going to die. It was hard. It was hot and it was very, very humid. There were hills~lots and lots of hills. And it was early o’clock. Any self respecting person would be at home, in bed, in the comfort of their air conditioned home. But Noooo…I was out there sweating and not having much fun doing it.
Then, all of a sudden, it changed! Amazing! Everything clicked and it was easy (in the relative sense of the word)! I felt like I was gliding, my time improved and there was no stopping. I have never had that happen to that extent before. And better yet, it was wonderful!
My toenails that were black and coming off (TMI) quit hurting. My bum knee and sore foot started to function how they should…I cannot explain how great this mornings run felt. Suffice it to say, I got spoiled and will want ever single run to go as well as this morning.
I want to be able to report on my exercise report just like my MFP friend, “Easy Run, Easy Effort”! Cool Beans!
