Not much to say

[Today’s run: rest day]

I checked my blog tonight and discovered that I hadn’t done anything since Monday.  And here it’s Friday. That’s not too impressive.

I have run a couple of days this week but just a mile or a bit more.  I feel like my back and legs are getting better, just haven’t been in a rush to try to get back to it.  I should have gone out today but didn’t.  I probably will tomorrow.

The CBR Inc radio project is slowly moving along.  Yesterday I recorded the EAS monthly test from an Alabama station.  That went into the EAS project.  I’ve been reading a book on how radio stations are managed.  And I found two stations which do book readings as their main programming: WYPL in Memphis and WRBH in New Orleans.  That’s two more than I had ever heard about before.  No roadblocks yet on the FCC front.  I don’t think there is much competition for a rural Lowndes County Mississippi radio station license.

My nixie clock project is moving even slower.  I did receive my 1-pulse-per-second (1 PPS) divider chips in the mail yesterday.  I plan to use them to divide down the 10 MHz from my GPS-disciplined frequency standard. I actually have enough parts that I probably could start putting things together.
