I think I have my weather station work pretty much wrapped up for now.
Yesterday and today I worked on it. I bought an equipment box and a 12 foot treated 2×6. I dug a hole and got the pole installed. I glued a board into the equipment box and mounted the various parts in there with standoffs and wood screws.
Today I was able to get the solar panel, equipment box and weather system mounted on the pole.
It seems to be working OK.
I still have a bit of a glitch when the Beaglebone Black computer reboots. It does not always start the weather station successfully. But if I log in and do it, then it works. I think I may add some timing delay or something in order to have the system in better condition when the wview startup script fires up.
