Valentine poem

[Today’s run: rest day]

I don't mind
when not hearing so well
means I often
watch your lips to understand.

I have happy,
long history with your lips
which I may
smile about while you talk.

I confess I
sometimes "what, sweetie?"
So I can
watch you do it again.

The downside is
If I ever go blind
I won't know
at all what you are saying.

Guess I'll have
to do the Braille thing.
I promise to
wash my hands a lot.
