[Today’s run: rest day]
I was up late last night. I started on some database maintenance work and things went badly. So then I had to patch it all together. I finally got it done about 4 this morning (with some nap breaks).
So I did not run today and have mostly goofed around. I did put some new brake shoes on the back of the old pickup truck. That was about my only accomplishment.
Here is another picture from the Iowa State Fair. This is a steer in the Four H Parade of Champions. That means it had won 1st or 2nd place in it’s breed and was now being shown for “Best of Show” The best-of-the-best becomes Grand Champion and is auctioned off later. The price is usually somewhere in the $30-$40k range. (this particular one did not win the top prize)
Looks impressive to me! They were reading off info about these critters as they walked into the arena. Many of them had weight gain in the 3 Lb/day range.
