Busting the Pile — CW DX

[Today’s run:  rest day]

A new ham radio poem today.

Congratulations to W1BXY, recently promoted to be the QST Managing Editor at ARRL HQ.

Busting the Pile – CW DX

The whole world in one room resides,
all in private conversation.
You way over there say, “QRZ?”

Forty others, maybe fifty
with me, answer, hoping for your
attention just in that instant.

Some shout, make cupped hands to raise their
voice above the din.  Some like jazz,
plant their note in an empty place.

[But all we really do is move
our fingers just a little bit;
a few puff and sip I suppose.]

I’ve read  my Complete DXer;
careful hand on the RIT,
(must get that split exactly right!)

“W0EP 599” is my reward.
“599 TU”.
