[Today’s run: 1 mile, with the dog]
We nearly finished up the bathroom tile job today. I have one piece of trim work to reinstall. I did get the paint touched up on the other woodwork and we got the stool put back in. It looks good.
I also made a bit of progress on a couple of work items.
And I got a new CQ magazine in the mail.
My GPS-DO is acting kind of funny. I’ve been messing with it for the last few weeks. I got the GPS antenna connection sorted out once my crimper tool and BNC fittings arrived. It runs ok, but it seems to drift a long time in one direction. I keep having the overpowering urge to twiddle the little screwdriver frequency cap on the oscillator. So, I don’t really know if it will go to the voltage rail or turn around and come back toward the center. I guess what I need to do is ignore it for awhile and see what happens.
And I’ve done a little bit of playing around with wire-on-sewing-bobbins, with the idea of maybe making my own 100 kHz IF transformers. But it may be hard to do without a frequency domain display like a spectrum analyzer or VNA. At least, it sure would be easier with one!
Oh, I also started touching up some scratches on the “new” car. It came pre-scratched in a couple of spots. I have the touch-up paint and the clear coat. I’m following the instructions in a little boxed kit I found at the auto parts store. At least this time I started on an out-of-the-way spot. So if I mess up it won’t be the first thing I see every time I get in the car. (I too often start new procedures on the most critical visual spot. Maybe this time I am learning?)
