Today’s Run:  5.25 miles (9 x 400’s with 1 mile warm up)

I thought I was having a good day.  Really I did!  That was before I talked to people on the phone today~boy, folks are Grouchy today.

But, today was a unique day as well.  It is 12-12-12.  This is the last time in 1,000 years or so that we will be able to have consecutive number in the date like that.  So, to celebrate/commemorate the official status of the day, my husband and I counted down the morning until 12-12-12-12-12 and took a picture of our atomic clock for proof.

It would have been cool (no pun intended) if the temp showed 12 also, but that would have been a bit chilly.  Maybe if we lived in Duluth or something, but not here in Mississippi.

Talked to a man today in Jackson about a chicken tractor and honey bees.  He was a nice guy~not grouchy.  And he really liked to talk about his chicken tractors and his chickens!  I learned a lot from him.  Nice phone call.

The run today was a rough one.  9 x 400’s.  (that means a one mile warm up and then you run a 1/4 of a mile as fast as you can nine times)  It always feels great to be done with that workout!  Seeing as we have another race on January 5, we need to buckle down and work a bit harder than usual.

I think popcorn and a movie are in order for the evening.  Sounds pleasant!
