Today’s Run: 60 min lifting at the “Y”
I am so impressed! I went to Wal Mart after lunch today to pick up last minute items for our Thanksgiving meal. The place was packed. Wall to wall people~and they were (for the most part) being nice to each other. Polite even! But even more than that, Wal Mart had more than three check out lanes open!!!
I probably should have had you sit down before I wrote that last sentence, huh? I hope the shock did not get to you. Really, though, they had two employees “directing traffic” at the checkouts to keep things moving right along. And it was working. The amount of frustration you saw in customers faces was gone and the wait time in checkout was down. I think it only took me 15 minutes to get into my assigned checkout lane, wait my turn, pay my bill and be on my way out to the parking lot.
I must admit that I almost went to the Kroger store instead of Wal Mart, but seeing what I needed to purchase, I knew it would be more cost effective to go to Wally World. (they have re-arranged our Kroger and I have not completely made up my mind if it is for the better) My mom had given me some coupons over the weekend for Kroger and they were nice coupons, too, BUT even with the coupons it would still be less expensive to go to Wal Mart. So, I will sit on the coupons until next grocery expedition.
