Bad news. Castro is gone. Not Fidel Castro (although that would not altogether be such a bad thing) but Castro, my son’s cat.
My daughter had a cat named Kali. When my daughter moved to Alaska a while back, we took Kali to live with us…anyway, before Kali moved in with us, she had a litter of kittens~ one of which my daughter named, Castro. Castro went to live my my son. They were a pair, those two. Kinda like, if you remember the old show, The Odd Couple. Perfect for each other.
A couple of months ago, my son got his own place and took Castro with him in the move. Now, Castro is a little houdini when it comes to getting out of the house and not so great about coming back when called.
About three weeks ago now, Castro pulled a fast one and escaped. We have not seen hide nor hair of him since. This is very sad. After this extended amount of time, the decision has been made to move on to another animal. So what next? Something cute that does not take up a lot of room (small appartment). Something that is quiet and that does NOT escape every time the door opens. Something that has a cute fluffy tail and a wiggly nose. Something that will be named Loke.
