Wireless Carriers

Today’s Run:  Rest Day!

Today we will name names.

Ever since the beginning of wireless carrier time, I have had an account with AT&T.  At that time we lived in Estes Park, Colorado.  Our service was spotty but we attributed it to the mountains. Now we live on the Prairie of Mississippi and we again have very spotty service.  No calls are able to be made from the house and if I want to text, I have to stand in a certain spot on the front porch.  Not cool!!  I will say that if we are in town, our service is usually acceptable but from the house-forget it!

So, I am shopping a new carrier.

My husband has done some homework on Verizon.  His carrier on his cell phone (office provided) is with Verizon and his coverage is excellent.  So, he has the facts and figures for Verizon.  My job was to call AT&T and find out what  hoops we have to jump through to get out of our contract and call Sprint to find out prices and coverage.

So, here goes on the fact and figures (this is for three lines):

To get out from under AT&T:  $278.00

To begin with Sprint:  $179.00

In the long run, Sprint will have 4G service at the house, unlimited text and dialing and unlimited data.  Not too bad for $179.00

Now, to compare notes with my husband.  We may wait until contracts expire before making a move.  The saga continues…
