Prairie Arts Festival

Today’s Run:  7.15 miles (hot and humid)

After our run with the running group this morning, my husband and I drove over to West Point, Mississippi, for their Prairie Arts Festival.  We had attended a few years ago and wanted to go back.  Arts, crafts, food, music and people.

We saw lots of paintings.  Abstract~large, colorful abstract paintings seem to be the “in” thing right now.  Lots of flowers made from smashed, cut up and painted tin cans.  LOTS of bird houses. And something interesting.  I actually bought a package!

What I bought (among other things) was a package of four Alpaca Felted Dryer Balls.  These things are 100% Alpaca hair, felted into the size of a tennis ball.  You are supposed to throw all four of them into your clothes dryer and you never have to buy dryer sheets or fabric softener again.  Interesting.  And with the ton of laundry I do, that would actually wind up saving a little money.

So, I came home and did three loads of laundry.  And they work!  No kidding! (esty.com.shop/coldwateralpacaranch  is where you can order some)

The funny thing about this, is the dog must smell the Alpaca.  I do not smell a thing but he does.  He has been sitting by the clothes dryer (he saw me put the balls into the dryer) with his paw raised~begging! He wants a ball and he wants one bad!  I had to fight him off to fold laundry.  It is going on 5-6 hours since we came home and he is still by the dryer.  What a dog.
