Granny Glasses

Today’s Run:  Last Rest Day~I can run tomorrow!

Last Saturday I bought my very first pair of “granny glasses”.  You know, the kind that sit on the tip of your nose and look like they are about to fall off.  Yup, those are the ones I bought.

Since I had that cataract surgery last week, I have discovered that I can see great (20/30 at my day after surgery check up) at distance but I need a little magnification for reading.  Saturday I realized that the next day was church and I would not be able to read the Bible or the hymnal during services the next day so I punted and bought me a pair of readers.  They were $8.99 at the Piggly Wiggly.

My new granny glasses came in their own hard case with a clip on the side for shirt pockets.  I thought this was the greatest thing since sliced bread until I discovered that one little pair of readers are difficult to find when you need them. “Now where did I put those crazy things?” etc.  So, today I was a Wal Mart and decided to check out their reading glasses…

My husband should be proud to have such a frugal shopper for a wife!  I only bought three pair!  Actually, I found that they sell them in packages of three~a bargain at any price, and the price for three pair was $ .99 less than my original first pair from “the pig”.  So, now I have a pair by the computer, two pair in my purse, a pair by the bed and a floater pair.  Life is good!
