Today’s Run:  Rest Day

There was no run today because I had an appointment with my eye surgeon.  Today was the day he removed the cataract from my right eye (the left eye will follow in two weeks).

I am not one to get all excited about surgical procedures~ just chalk them up to something that needs to be done.  This surgery feel into that category.  In all actuality, I was looking forward to the procedure due to the fact that I have not been able to see well the past five years due to these cataracts.  This was a big deal thing to eagerly look forward!

A two hour waiting time was what I was expecting but that did expand into a five hours.  No big deal for me but for my husband, who was also my ride, it was a very long wait.  But good things come to those who wait!  And this is a very good thing.

My eye is not red at all, just a little puffy and all that will be gone tomorrow.  There are just a few restrictions for the next few days and then, BAM!  I am back into full swing!  Sounds like a deal to me!  Plus, not more glasses!!! What more could a person ask for?
