He’s Right, You Know!

I have to take an excerpt from my husband’s post from today.  Aside from the fact that I’m so tired I’m punchy and this made me laugh hysterically, this is exactly how today’s run was:

Oh, our run today sounded good on paper but the weather was just awful.  The temp was in the upper 70s but there was fog and 100% humidity.  Fog is kind of nice.  Meter-pegged humidity means that my normal river of perspiration does absolutely no good at all.  The air was so saturated that I had mist sticking to the hairs on my arm.  I was gathering water just by moving through the air.  And on top of that it was gushing out of my pores at a prodigious rate because my fat old body was vainly trying to cool down.

I finished before my brain burst into flames, so that was good.

I had spent the better part of today trying to figure out a way to tell you just how awful today’s run was….without complaining and whining.  I’ve failed in doing that online today many times throughout the course of the day.  MFH (My Favorite Husband) did it beautifully!  And it’s funny!!!  And spot on!!!

I’ll just add a pic I took from 3 miles into my 10.40 miles this morning.  The temp was 78*  humidity 100%.  Just dreadful.  Very pretty, though!

It was a little tricky because traffic simply could not see us.  We had to be on our toes today.  When a car was coming, I would step completely off the road and wait until it passed.  Better safe than sorry.

Here’s the pic.  Hoping for better weather and easier running tomorrow.
