Paxton and Nutty Bars

If you follow me on FB, you’ve probably noticed that Paxton really, really likes Nutty Bars.  Almost every day, there is a new pic of that silly dog begging for a Nutty Bar.

I try to be as quiet as possible when opening a new package but that darn *crinkle* when you open the wrapper gives me away every. single. time.

Yesterday I thought I had gotten away with it.  Paxton was passed out by the front door.  That dog was sawing some very serious logs.  Out like a light, he was!

I opened the package in the kitchen as quietly as I could.  No Paxton.

I tiptoed to my desk.  No Paxton.

I took a delicious bite.  It made a nice crunchy noise.

PAXTON!

There he was!  He was peeking around the corner of the sofa.  He was giving me the looks that said, “You weren’t planning on eating that Nutty Bar with out me, were you?”

Goofy dog.

So today after lunch, MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I went to split our Nutty Bar.  MFH was eating his while walking to his office.  I was clearing the table and putting stuff away before I ate mine.  Finally got the kitchen all put back together and picked up my Nutty Bar.

Yup.  Paxton was there.  He’d actually been waiting patiently while I cleaned up the kitchen.

I picked up my Nutty Bar and took a bite.

Now, this is the part where I can’t decide it this dog is very lazy or incredibly smart.  He knows that when he wants something, he needs to sit and put his paw out to shake your hand.  He KNOWS this!

Instead of sitting today, he stood there but still picked up his paw to shake.

He was cutting out the middle movement.  Conserving energy.  Being efficient.  OR just a very. lazy. dog.

You decide.
