#1 Son has been doing some yard chores for this this summer. We’ve had some things that have been needed to be done but for one reason or another, they have remained undone.
#1 Son to the rescue!
He has been a huge help this summer getting these odd jobs done. They aren’t glamorous jobs. They are, quite frankly, tough stuff! That’s probably the reason why they haven’t been done. HA!
Yesterday, #1 son was shoveling gravel around the bushes that butt up against the house. We don’t use mulch due to termites. Termites love mulch and the area where we live has lots and lots of termites. Gravel does the trick instead of the mulch.
Termites. Not a fan.
Paxton decided that he wanted to help #1 Son with his chores. That is when Paxton noticed the gloves #1 Son was wearing to help prevent blisters.
Paxton wanted those gloves. They were nice leather gloves. I think maybe Paxton wanted those gloves more than he wanted that tie the other day! Hard to believe, right!?!
After being a sneaky puppy, Paxton finally snagged himself one of those gloves. He was parading around the yard. He was saying, “Look at me! I’m a lucky dog!” Silly Paxton!
After #1 Son was done with the yard work and had returned back to his home, we remembered an errand we needed to run. MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I hopped into the car. We needed to go to Columbus and then to West Point. Lots of driving.
While we were driving to Columbus, I realized that I was very thirsty. I asked MFH if we could stop at Sonic for a Slushie. That sounded soooooo good! So, we headed off towards Sonic.
I ordered a small Blue Raspberry Slushie.
I love those things!!!
I drank my Slushie. I wasn’t thirsty anymore but my tongue was blue! Without batting an eye, I grabbed my phone, stuck out my tongue and took a selfie. Then, again, without thinking, I posted it to FB.
MFH said, “What ARE you doing?”
“Um….” Maybe some day I’ll grow up and act my age? Probably not!
HAHA!!!!
