Good ol’ Paxton.  When he does things, he does them 100% full throttle.  There’s not anything halfhearted about this guy, it’s all or nothing.

We’ve had company since Friday.  My In-Laws have been here!  They’re good people.  We always enjoy their visits.  We don’t get to see them often so when they come down this way, it is a big treat!

Paxton LOVES my In-Laws!  MIL LIKES Paxton.  She’s not a big animal person like I am but she tolerates my two cats and silly Paxton.  Personally, I think she liked it a little better when I had the chickens…FIL is Paxton’s favorite.  FIL is a dog guy but really doesn’t know what to do with all of Paxton’s…..enthusiasm.

Paxton realizes all of this, bless his puppy heart, and does his very best to curb all of his puppy exuberance,  It leaves him absolutely exhausted!

This morning, the In-Laws took off for Florida to spend some time with BIL.  They will be there part of this week and then stop at our place again on their way home (Iowa).

As they pulled out of the driveway, Paxton sat by the front door watching them.   He was so cute.  His puppy ears were perked up with one paw up like he does when he wants something except this time, it looked like he was waving good-bye.

The rest of the day, he has been passed out on that pink puppy of his, sawing logs.  It’s hard work to be on your best puppy behavior for that long!
