Today’s Run:  Rest Day

Today, being Sunday, is a day filled with activity.  Today was to be an especially busy Sunday seeing as we had a Baby Shower to attend  in the afternoon as well as services at Church.

A lady in our running group is having a baby (boy) and is due the middle of next month (I do not think she will go that long).  Today was to be the day that the runners and spouses met to hold a Baby Shower for her and her husband.  I purchased the gift(s) yesterday at Wal-Mart (see yesterday’s post) and my husband and myself were set to go.  We were prepared to go to church when my son came and announced that he needed to go to the Emergency Room.  Uh-oh.

So, no church, no shower, we dropped everything and took him to the hospital. Now, five hours later, he is recovering and all will be just fine.  There is a good thing that came from all of this…my husband is cutting the grass for me!  So, the day is ending on a good note.
