Wonderful!!!

I started today’s run with some trepidation.  I was afraid.  Wednesday’s run had been scary.  Today was another warm one.  The sun was shining but there was a small breeze.  That turned out to be my salvation.

Before I left on my run I fueled up with my regular cheese grits and a cup of coffee.  I make an entire bowl of grits but only eat a little bit.  The chickens really, really like grits and I give them my leftovers.  They get upset with me if they do not get their morning grits and we cannot have that!  I also drank some Gatorade before I left.  I wanted to make sure I was well hydrated.

Off I went.

Today’s schedule called for a minimum of seven miles.  The route I took today was hilly but it had some shade.  It thought it might help me a bit as it was already rather warm.

They are building a new house about a half a mile from my house and the workers were out doing whatever it is that they do.  They waved and said, “Morning, Ma’am.”  I waved back and kept going.

Made it to the top of Evans Road and turned onto Limerock Road.  Limerock Road is all sunshine for two miles.  Cotton fields on my left and cattle on my right.  Here we go…

Because of the breeze, Limerock Road was a breeze!  I decided to go all the way to where Limerock Road dead ends.  This would be more than my planned seven miles but I had told MFH (My Favorite Husband) that I was going to go very slow this morning so he would not worry if it took me a little bit longer than originally planned.

Got to the end of Limerock, drank some Gatorade and turned around to head back.  Two miles later, turned back onto Evans Road.  Zoom!  The next thing I knew I was turning onto my road.  Half a mile to go!

There were the construction guys working away.  They stopped and said, “Morning, Ma’am” again.  I waved again.  Turned the corner went up the driveway and stopped my Garmin.

100 minutes of wonderful!  Sweet!  I will have to do that again.  Soon!
