Today will be a mish-mash of stuff.
First things first. I ran the frontage road again this morning but only half way. I only went as far as the airport exit and then hitched a ride back home. I will probably end up running this road quite a bit. I like it! For those of you who may be curious, the things that I found along the road yesterday, were gone. I am assuming that law enforcement people did their job and collected them.
The frontage road on the North side, is so much nicer than the South side. The drivers are nice! They move over for you instead of blowing you off the road. They drive with both hands! Now there is a novel idea!!! It makes for a lovely run.
I did manage to get a whale of a blister on the bottom of my right foot today. It hurts to walk on it. I stopped by the pharmacy this afternoon and picked up some New Skin and I will doctor up my foot here in a little bit. I have been having a problem with a hot spot on that foot and today it turned into a blister. Oh well…it was bound to happen.
We are supposed to have some “inclement weather” this evening so I hope it is passed before tomorrow’s run! It is supposed to be a rough night as far as weather is concerned.
That medication for waking me up? It works like a charm! I set my alarm for 6:00 am and stagger to the kitchen. Take it and stagger back to bed. In about 20-30 minutes, my eyes pop open and I am good to go! I do not know what is in this stuff but boy, it is really something!
Our radio station, MWFH-LP.org is still in the works. I have not mentioned it much for a while. Our T-shirts should be done next Tuesday and will be for sale on the web site I just mentioned. I think they are going to be really nice! I am excited about that!!!
The chickens are getting along better. The baby chickens are still hesitant to go to bed at night and delay it until the very last possible second. The instinct to roost my be very, very strong in chickens. Those poor things do not like going upstairs to roost but do it of their own accord. Silly chickens. We are still getting lots and lots of eggs every day and eating lots and lots of eggs!
Paxton is slowing down as it is warming up here in Mississippi. He does not do well when it is hot. Boy, he is going to hate it when July gets here! Last year, we got him a kiddie swimming pool. The only way he would use it is if I got in it, too. Then he had a great time! What a dog!!!
The cats, Kali and Castro, have been getting along lately! That is very much out of character. Hope nothing is wrong!
111 days until my Ultra! Let’s do this!!!
