Don’t Believe The Hype

Today’s Run:  Rest Day

You have all seen them.  You know, the adds with the before and after pics.  Overweight to Uber Fit with the use of “xyz” magic pill or fitness gadget.

This is a bunch of “Hoohie”.  Bologna.  Malarkey.  Garbage.  LIES.

I read an article today regarding this very issue.

You see, being the skeptic that I am, I have never bought into the magic pill, cream, powder for instant weight loss.  Let us face it, I did not become overweight overnight.  I ate more than I should have for a number of years and it will take me some time to undo all of that overeating!

Enter, the article:  http://www.businessinsider.com.au/before-and-after-weight-loss-exposed-2013-8

In this article a personal trainer was as fed up with these before and after pics as I was and decided to prove the majority of them false.  She went on the war path and did her own before and after pics to prove these products as false advertising.

But we all know these to be pseudo-products already, right!?!

Take a minute to read the article.  Maybe you will be surprised with how she pulled this off, maybe you will not.  Either way, it is an interesting article on how a “weight loss industry,” an industry that is supposed to be helping people desperate to improve their quality of life is a farce the majority of the time.  Too bad.  That is truly sad.
