Our neighbor has a new puppy. His name is Ocean. He has a TON of energy. He is a Weimaraner.
Ocean is about six months old now. He does not get a great deal of attention at home. This is sad. He has become quite adept at slipping his collar and coming to our house to play with our Boxer, Paxton.
Paxton will be four next March. He is beginning to act more like a dog and less like a puppy. His tolerance level for Ocean is getting shorter and shorter.
Do not get me wrong, Paxton is happy to see Ocean come over to play, it is just that Paxton gets tired of Ocean’s company pretty fast. There has not been any nipping or anything because we keep a pretty close eye on the two.
This morning my husband and I were ready to head on out the door for our morning run. We got to the door and there was Ocean. Jump! Jump!! Jump!!! Can Paxton come out and play???
“Ocean, you need to go home!” we said. But Ocean would not go home and there was no-body at home to make Ocean stay home. Rats.
That silly puppy followed us for our entire run! I think he is still sleeping it off because we have not seen hide-nor-hair of him since we returned.
Rest well, Ocean.
