Brrrr!!!

Today’s run:  9.11 miles

My husband and I ran 9.11 miles this morning to honor those who lost their lives on that fateful morning 9/11.  It was a small token to show that WE REMEMBER!!!

Do you remember where you were when you heard the news twelve years ago today???  A lot has changed in my life these past twelve years…changes for the better! I will leave to to reminisce.

Instead, today we are going to revisit yesterday’s topic~The LOoonnng, Slooooow Run.

This Summer, running in Mississippi has been brutal.  The heat and humidity have not been runner friendly.  On average, our morning runs, some starting as early as 4:30 am (beat the heat) have been in the mid 70’s F. to sometimes the mid 80’s F.  The humidity has almost to the day been in the mid to upper 90’s.  Ugh!

Well, I just checked the weather forecast for this Saturday’s 21 miler.  Friday night’s low is supposed to be 58 F!!!!  How awesome is that!?!  I might have to run with a shirt on instead of just a sports bra and running shorts!  YAY!!! I can feel the cool, crisp air already!

Come Saturday morning, 4:30 am, I hope you will be able to hear my teeth chattering!
