Today’s Run: 3.50 miles
I took my dog for a walk late this afternoon.
My dog, Paxton is a pudgy puppy. Each afternoon I try to take him out for a walk. We do not go very far these days just because it is so hot. What we have been doing is going on three or more short walks. This way Paxton gets his exercise and does not over heat.
This evening, Paxton got his leash out of the closet (yes, he is responsible for getting his own leash)~while he was doing that, I put on bug repellent. I clipped on his leash and we were off!
We went West. This direction is a dead end and is a shorter route than if we go East. So, I guess you could say we walked off into the sunset.
As we reached the end of the street, I noticed about a zillion maybe a bazillion butterflies. They were not very big and they were busy. Flutter, flutter, flutter. You know how butterflies are.
We got to the end of the road and all of a sudden they attacked! I was surrounded by butterflies! And they were not just fluttering around me, they were landing on me, my clothes, my hair…and this is with wearing bug spray!
Are butterflies bugs?
So, we just kept on walking. I was brushing the attack butterflies out of my hair and off my clothes all the way back home.
Paxton was oblivious. Not a one landed on him or fluttered around him. Strange, that.
I think next time I take him for a walk, we will go East. That was just too strange.
