Today’s Run: 5.30 miles
We did not run very far today. The running group was scheduled to do 11 miles but we turned around at the first water stop. We each have a bit of a cold and decided that the entire route might be a little too far for how we were feeling.
The food situation here is getting desperate. I really need to get to the grocery store. My husband is not a fan of grocery shopping so I only go every two weeks and even then, it is like pulling teeth to get him to go. So, we had breakfast for dinner.
Waffles! Mmmm!!!
The trick to the perfect waffle is simple, really. Nice and golden. Not too crisp but not mushy either. They need to be warm~Because~You are going to spread a thin layer of Peanut Butter on top of the waffle. The peanut butter begins to melt into the waffle on contact.
Add warm syrup!
And it gets better. The warm syrup finishes melting the peanut butter. The entire concoction tastes like caramel. It is unlike anything you have ever tasted. Ambrosia! Dessert for breakfast (in this case, dinner).
Move over cinnamon rolls. Your days are over!
