Sun Dappled Road

Today’s Run:  6 miles

To be a runner:

You don’t have to run fast.

You don’t have to run far.

You just have to get up and run!

We ran a beautiful route this morning.  MacIntyre Road.

MacIntyre Road is a gravel road of six miles.  It is canopied by trees the majority of the way and with the sun shining, like it was this morning, the sun peeks through the trees making it a lovely, cozy run of sun dappled beauty.  It was glorious!

The temperature this morning was only 63 F. with 86% humidity.  There was a slight NW breeze keeping it nice and cool.  Perfect!  Seeing as we have been running in the upper 70’s and low 80’s the past couple of weeks, this was a most welcome change.  But enough of the weather…

The big news of the day, is that today is my Wedding Anniversary!  28 years!!!  Awesomeness!!!  I must admit that I married a “Keeper”.  I tease and call my husband MFH (My Favorite Husband) and he really is MFH but he is also my only husband.  I cannot imagine spending my life with anyone else.  He is the best!

We met the first day of 8th grade.  We got sent to the Principal’s office! Long story.  But basically, we have been together ever since.  We dated nine years and now have been married 28 years.  Pretty doggone awesome in my book!

We will go out for dinner this evening and then tomorrow go see the new Star Trek movie.  Cannot do both tonight.  We have running group in the morning (11+ miles on the docket) and we hit the sack early to be up and at ’em bright and early to run.

Trust you all will have an awesome holiday weekend.
