“We Demand A Shrubbery!”

Today’s Run:  2 1/2 hrs trimming the hedges and 1 hr push mower.

I trimmed the shrubbery today.  It took 2 1/2 hours.  We have Box Holly on the East and West sides of our house and some funny little round shrubs across the North side of the house.  The South side, thank heavens, has no shrubs~It has an arbor.

My parents have an electric hedge trimmer.  I do not.  I have the old fashioned, do it yourself, manual clippers.  It is a good workout!  So, I let my thoughts wander as I was trying my best to make the bushes look the same.  (I was not successful at this endeavor~don’t give up your day job, Melinda)

The thing that was totally stuck in my mind today was Monty Python and The Holy Grail~The Knights That Say “Ni!”.

So, as I hacked the living daylights out of my bushes today, I was muttering “Ni!” under my breath.  Fortunately, my neighbors were work or they would have worried. For these small things we will be grateful.

The bushes are now relatively uniform, as close as I can get them anyway and I can be content in a job well done.
