Today’s Run: 4.22 miles
A week or so ago, my husband and I made a quick trip into our new Tractor Supply Store. We had never been into one before and we wanted to see what it was like. We were looking, at that time, for something to help our sick chicken. At that time, I had wondered absentmindedly if there were such a thing as chicken treats. No way~said my husband. They are farm animals. They do not make treats for chickens.
But he was wrong! They do!
I found (almost instantly, I might add. I have a knack for finding obscure things like this.) freeze dried meal worms! Just for chickens! How cool is that!?! How gross is that!?! I HAD to have some for my chickens. But seeing as it was not even close to pay day, I had to wait.
Today is payday! My son and I had a few errands to run and one of them was to the Tractor Supply Store. Seeing as the chickens are laying now, I am in need of an egg basket in which to carry all the eggs I am hoping the chickens will lay! I figured the Tractor Supply Store would have egg baskets. They were out of egg baskets but not out of Chicken Treats! It was providential. I bought some.
The chickens were not so sure as to what to think about these treats. They are not used to seeing a lot of my son and he was the one giving the treats to them for the first time. But once they figured out what they were and they spilled on the ground~well, those meal worms were history. Toast. Gone. Ka-put!
