“You Got Chocolate In My Peanut Butter…”

I love peanut butter cups.  There is nothing better than a peanut butter cup to perfectly finish off a meal or make an afternoon snack.  And it is a healthy snack, too!  Milk chocolate (calcium from the milk) and peanut butter (protein from the peanuts)~Perfect health food, the way mother nature intended it to be.

Do you remember those commercials from the 1970’s when Reese’s first came out with peanut butter cups?  I think it may have been around the Nixon administration and all that Watergate mess.  Here is an old commercial I found from the early 1980’s.  Blast from the past!

Well, now they have come out with BIG CUPS!  They are double the peanut butter and chocolate and they are AWESOME!  They make the original seem, well, blah.  I will not (unless absolutely necessary) eat a regular peanut butter cup anymore.

Enter today.  My son bought me a 1/3 pound peanut butter cup shaped like a heart for an early Valentine’s Day gift.  It theoretically has four servings at 180 calories per serving.  That is good incentive to split it into fourths!  Let us see…180 times 4 equals…732?  or somewhere around there…I did that in my head real fast so it most definitely is not carved in stone.  It is just enough to make sure you do NOT eat the entire thing at once!!!
