Today’s Run:  5.00 miles

We ran early this morning.  It was 38 degrees F. and raining.  There was a breeze.  Not too terrible of a breeze but it was noticeable.

We almost decided to wait until later in the day to do our run.  It was our theory that it would warm up a bit and the rain would let up.  We checked the weather forecast and it said rain.  All day.  So, noticing a lull in the weather, we set off.

We had run maybe half a mile when the rain started up again.  We got wet.  Thought about turning around but once you are wet~well, you are wet!  So we kept going.

We ran on pavement and then we ran on gravel.  That was muddy, so we got a little muddy but not too bad.  We made it to our destination, Schaeffer’s Chapel,  turned around and retraced our steps.

The rain let up for just a little bit and then it got pretty serious about coming down.  We were even more wet.  And cold.  And just a little bit muddy.  But finally we made it home.

I am really glad that we decided to run this morning in the rain.  Why?  Because they just changed the weather forecast.  The rain is now 90% freezing rain!  Ick!  It would be tough to run in that!  So, yea to us for braving the elements and having a successful morning run.
