Naughty Cow

Happy Wednesday, Aiden! Happy Looooonggg Run Day!

Our friend showed up at the house this morning at 2:00am and after Paxton was done greeting him, we ran. He ran 18 miles before he had to go to work. Just this past Saturday he ran 30 miles! How amazing is that!?! He’s a good friend.

We ended up running 26.25 miles. We watched the sun come up AND we saw that loose cow again! I have a story to tell you about that cow.

He was across the street from the field. The farmer has stacked all his big, round bales of hay there across the street. That naughty cow found a break in the fence and was sneaking across the street to eat the hay!

When I saw him this morning, I stopped and said, “Good morning, little cow. Can you show me where the break in the fence is?” And wouldn’t you know, he looked at me and walked back to the fence and slipped back into the field…showing me the break. How funny is that!?!

The FedEx lady pulled up to our house late this morning with two boxes for me. Can you see what was in the boxes? Yup! New running shoes! YAY!!!

The pink ones are for running on the road and the fancy green-ish ones are for running on trails. We’re going to have lots of fun running.

13 miles tomorrow morning. We’re a little tired from today’s run so tomorrow’s run might be a challenge. We’ll go out and give it our best.

Sending you tons of love, hugs and kisses from, fall’s not here yet! Mississippi.

Love, Mel
