We’re going to try to condense everything into one(?) blog post??? Here we go!
First off, #1 Daughter got engaged while we were visiting! How awesome is that!?! Cool story to this but we’ll save it for another post.
We spent Christmas Eve with #1 Daughter’s soon to be In-Law’s and then had Christmas Day with #1 Daughter and #1 Daughter’s #1 Fiance’. Such a fun time!
I got MFH (My Favorite Husband) a drone! #cooltoy
I only ran 13 miles while we were on vacation. I was shy of about 40 training miles. Oops! #priorities Making up for it this week.
Found out right before we left that I had been selected to be a member of Team Zensah 2016. I love Zensah products!!! Wear them all the time. Swear by them. Super excited about this opportunity!!! Hold onto your hats, you’re going to be hearing a lot about Zensah throughout 2016!!! #teamZensah #withoutlimitz
While we were on vacation, I also learned that a friend of mine, Todd, had given my name to a man who does a podcast. Fit Over 40. This man asked me if I would be willing to be a featured person on his podcast. Of course! What an honor!!! I will be recording my segment this Wednesday at 2:30 pm…right after I finish up my long run. 🙂
Lots of totally excellent things happened while we were on vacation. It was a fabulous time!!!
We drove in picture perfect weather on our way out to Colorado. MFH and I took one of our extra pickup’s out to give to #1 Daughter and #1 Fiance’. When we crossed the Colorado boarder, I noticed the pickup had a flat. I told MFH and we pulled over and fixed the tire. That was the only mishap on the trip heading out.
On the way home, we hit ugly weather almost the entire trip. We did get to visit with my In-Laws for a day. That was super fun! They are great people! We went to the “Brown Drawing.” Saw a lot of people we hadn’t seen for years. MFH really enjoyed himself there.
Finally, yesterday, we headed home. We left Des Moines at 7:00 am and pulled into our driveway at 9:30 pm. It had been a big day. We did make a quick stop in St. Louis to meet up with a running buddy.
We also drove by the Arch.
Today, as soon as all the tornado stuff expired, I headed out for a nice WARM (YAY!!!) 10 miles and it was wonderful! My butt was beginning to fuse into the shape of a car seat. Being out and running again was glorious!
